Our brain needs time to know it’s full. That’s 20 minutes. It’s better and easier to eat as much as we need than eat too much. Taking too many calories during this time causes weight gain.
Fast food is associated with increased obesity.
One of the biggest health problems in the world is obesity. Obesity happens not only with malnutrition, but also with immobility. Fast eaters are twice as likely to be at obesity than slow eaters.
Eating fast can also cause different problems.
- Insulin resistance
- Adult-onset diabetes (Type 2 diabetes)
- Metabolic syndrome
- Slow digestion
So how do we get through this?
- First of all, we have to chew a lot before we swallow food.
- We can drink a little water between meals.
- We shouldn’t eat in front of technological devices like telephones and televisions.
I wish to see you in my next article. Have a healthy day.
